Michael Tunink is the owner of Dixon Physical Therapy. A graduate from the University of Missouri School of Physical Therapy in 1994, he has since made Dixon Physical Therapy the most established outpatient physical therapy clinic in the Sauk Valley area.
In order to deliver the best possible care, Dr. Tunink stays on top of the latest research and innovations in physical therapy. He continues to complete postgraduate training in a variety of fields. In 2004 Dr. Tunink completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Creighton University and became a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Following that in 2014, he became certified in Spinal Manipulation Therapy and Dry Needling. Later that same year, he received a diploma in Osteopractic from the Spinal Manipulation Institute.
In 2015 Dr. Tunink became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT), and Fellowship graduate of the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT). The AAOMPT is the premier association in the United States that promotes advanced orthopedic manual therapy techniques requiring strenuous evidenced-based training in clinical manual therapy to provide the patient with the mosy advanced techniques aimed at improving function and quality of life.
